Cornelia English Williamson of Columbia and Adam Stewart Frye of Elgin were married Saturday, July 25, 2015 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. The 5:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Dale Weldon. A reception followed at Stone River.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Denton Williamson Jr. of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Robert Eckley Jr. of Bishopville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Denton Williamson Sr. of Cheraw.
Honorary grandparents are the Rev. and Mrs. Herbert Jessie Gladden Jr. of Lexington. Nelia is a graduate of Ben Lippen High School and received her bachelor of science in computer science information technology from Limestone College. She is currently employed as a Columbia office manager with Professional Auto Recovery.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dale Frye of Elgin. He is the grandson of Mrs. Carole Stephenson Sullivan of Lexington and the late Mr. Pat Houston Sullivan of Mississippi and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ansel Lee Frye of Lexington. Adam is a graduate of Spring Valley High School and received his associate’s degree from Midlands Technical College. He is currently a technician with McDaniel’s Acura Dealership.
Mrs. Leah Kristen Protts Bernardo was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Laura Boyce Espinoza, Mrs. Amanda Madelynne Frye, Miss Faith Elizabeth Frye, sister of the groom, Mrs. Lauren Elizabeth Howell, Mrs. Lily Esther Mishou and Mrs. Jennifer Caney Wall. Flower girls were Miss Alexandra Marie Green and Miss Chloe Frances Green, cousins of the bride.
The groom’s brother, Mr. Phillip Austin Frye, served as best man. Groomsmen were the Rev. Stephen Allen Aylesworth, Mr. Larry Dale Frye, father of the groom, Mr. Edward Marque Hall, Mr. Ronald Delane Martin, Jr., Mr. Justin Brian Nogar, and Mr. Howard Denton Williamson III, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Master Solomon Reese Eckley, cousin of the bride.
The wedding party included soloist and godmother of the bride, Mrs. Stephen Hendricks Cox, and program attendant Miss Kateland Rae Fugate and guest register attendant Mrs. Amber Gracelynn Smith. Wedding director was Mrs. Roy Charles Frazee, violinist was Mrs. Jonathan Whitfield Calore and organist was Mr. Chad Anthony Martin. Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. DuPree Eugene McKenzie.
After a honeymoon at Atlantis in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Columbia.
