MONROE, N.C. — Authorities say a Chesterfield County man was caught with prescription pills north of the border.
Mitchell Philip Swift, 28, of 547 Sam Carnes Road west of Pageland, was arrested Dec. 10 in Union County, North Carolina on charges of misdemeanor simple possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV controlled substances and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, according to sheriff’s deputies.
Deputy C.J. Williams of the Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Swift at 12:29 p.m., records show. Swift was jailed under a $750 secured bond and his first court appearance was scheduled the following day.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
