If the neon green cones weren’t enough to let you know something big was happening in downtown Cheraw on Saturday, then the laughs, squeals and all the people heading to the park area were certainly indicators. There were hundreds of people enjoying the fun and festivities of the Cheraw ChristmasFest.

Despite the warm temperatures on Saturday, it was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas downtown.

There was plenty to do as some sat on the grass and enjoyed the live entertainment. There was no shortage of excited children waiting in line to see Santa Claus and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

There was cocoa and cookies at one station, as well as face-painting and a table to make your own ornament.

The festival ended with the Christmas parade and a fireworks show.
