Social workers are seeking a South Carolina family to adopt Porschia.

Porschia is a friendly and eager to please little girl. She enjoys reading, arts and crafts and painting. She likes to watch TV, especially “SpongeBob SquarePants” and the Lord of the Rings movies, and loves to swim.

Porschia enjoys card games such as Go Fish, War and Slapjack. Monopoly and Life are her favorite board games. She enjoys playing kickball and basketball and loves to be outside.

Porschia’s favorite color is pink and her least-favorite color is black. Her favorite foods are pizza, pancakes, corn dogs, macaroni and cheese, mozzarella cheese sticks and eggs with ketchup.

She loves all of her classes at school but does get bored with reading. She gets along well with her teachers and peers most of the time. Porschia is learning responsibility by keeping her room clean and making her bed, and earns a weekly allowance for completing her chores.

Porschia needs a patient family who can provide structure and stability and will make her feel safe. She would benefit from being an only child in a family. Porschia needs a family who can be actively involved with education, physicians and mental health professionals.

Porschia has expressed her desire to have a permanent adoptive family. Porschia is legally free for adoption.

For information on adopting Porschia, contact Heather Boyles of the S.C. Department of Social Services’ Division of Adoptions at heather.boyles@dss.sc.gov or call the Region II Division of Adoption Services office in Columbia at 888-711-7095.
