For local cardiac patients’ convenience, Dr. John W. Patton with Pee Dee Cardiology is seeing patients in the office of McLeod Cheraw Family Medicine.
Patton treats adults of all ages who suffer from the entire gamut of cardiovascular disease. Coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmia and vascular and valve heart disease are among the most common conditions he treats as a cardiologist.
“I chose cardiology because it has a broad spectrum of treatment options and offers me the opportunity to get to know my patients, follow them over time and share in their victories and successes,” Patton said. “I get to see them through their diagnosis and help them resume living a full and active life.”
Patton received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center – Department of Internal Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee and a cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.
“I hope to contribute to the health and wellbeing of each patient I see and to the community as a whole,” Patton said. “When I see a patient at their worst and I can help them to survive and thrive — that’s why I became a cardiologist.”
Patton is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
Pee Dee Cardiology welcomes both physician and self-referrals. Appointments with Patton at McLeod Cheraw Family Medicine can be made by calling 800-299-5689.
