CHESTERFIELD — Lisa Hancock was recognized for her 28 years of service with Chesterfield County during the Wednesday, Oct. 7, county council meeting.

She’s worked with the veterans services and emergency management offices, serving as interim director for a time.

“She’s been a very good asset to the county. Even though she retired, she’s working part-time. So luckily we didn’t totally lose her, but for 28 years, I feel like we need to recognize her,” County Administrator Denise Douglass said.

Hancock thanked the county council for the opportunities she’s had in nearly three decades of work.

“I love Chesterfield County and I loved working for Chesterfield and still loving working,” Hancock said. “Thank you so much.”
