Johnny H. Eslick, 80, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012.

Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 18, at Lower Macedonia Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Interment followed in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 18, prior to the service at the church.

Eslick was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Henryetta, Okla., a son of the late John Absent and Pearl Hamilton Eslick. He was a retired Sergeant with the U.S. Army with 24 years of service, having served during the the Korean War. Eslick was also a former Deputy Sheriff with the Chesterfield County Sheriff Department. He was a member of the American Legion Post 74. Eslick was an avid outdoors man.

Survivors include a wife of 47 years, Glynn Curry Eslick of the home, four sons, Johnny (Joan) Eslick Jr. of Patrick, Jimmy (Joan) Eslick of Eddy, Texas, David (Natalie) Cooper of Abington, Va., and Bronson (Donna) Eslick of Patrick, one daughter, Lucinda Eslick of Asheville, N.C., 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
