Jokie Lee Jenkins, 69, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012.
Funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 19, at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, Oct. 19, prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Jenkins was born Aug. 12, 1943, in Chesterfield County, a son of the late Joe Adam and Annabelle Joplin Jenkins. He was a graduate of Columbia Barber College, and was a former barber. Jenkins was also a plant manager with Mar Mac. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Chesterfield Jaycees. Jokie also helped to establish the County Library.
Survivors include a wife, Peggy Odom Jenkins of the home, one son, Buddy (Dana) Jenkins of Chesterfield, one daughter, Crystal (Doug) Stowe of Mt. Croghan, and four grandchildren.

Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, is serving the family.
