A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 from Westside Baptist Church. Burial with military honors followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Born in Cheraw, Mr. Butler was a son of the late Randolph Butler Sr. and Maybell Miles Butler. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and a graduate of Cheraw High School. Mr. Butler served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. He was a charter member of the Cheraw Rescue Squad and was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Tillie Juanita Kelly Butler of Cheraw; a son, Randy (Debbie) Butler of Cheraw; two daughters, Cheryl (Larry) B. Heustess of Cheraw, and Teri (Jimmie) B. Pruitt of Little River; a sister, Evelyn Louise Player of Lobeco; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Kiser Funeral Home.
