Robert Lee Golden, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield. Interment will follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Golden was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Sylvia, N.C., a son of the late John Reelis and Cannie Owen Golden. He was owner and operator of Goldens Electric Co. and was a member of the Cheraw Family Worship Center. Golden was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Ray, Ernest, and John Golden and by two sisters, Laura Vernon and Annie Morris.
Golden is survived by his wife, Marietta Steen Golden of the home, a son, Robert L. ”Robbie” Golden Jr. of Cheraw, two grandchildren, three sisters, Betty G. Upchurch and Lucy G. Atkins of Cameron, N.C., and Gertrude G. Sheppard of Lillington, N.C., as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, is serving the family.
