HARTSVILLE — The Revolution 12U Majors baseball team has won a bid to the 2015 USSSA Elite 32 World Series where the top teams in the country will compete at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World July 25-Aug. 2.

The team won its berth April 26 in Lexington, at one of the qualifying USSSA Super NIT tournaments held across the country. The April 26 win ranked the Revolution No. 1 in the state and No. 7 in the country among USSSA 12u Majors teams.

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Channel will broadcast video highlights and coverage of the Elite World Series from ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Revolution coaches John Coble and Richie Mills said the team is looking forward to competing in this event.

“It’s not too often a player gets to play on this stage,” Coble said in a statement. “We have a great group of really talented kids. They play hard and play very well together. We are extremely proud of what they have accomplished. None of this would be possible without the support of their families and communities.”

The Revolution 12U Majors includes players from across the Pee Dee region including Darlington, Chesterfield and Florence counties. The team is fundraising to cover expenses related to travel and lodging for the week-long tournament.
