The Cheraw Recreation and Leisure Services Department will be having a fall baseball program for children ages 9-12, with May 1, 2016 as the age cutoff date.

The emphasis of this program is to provide a recreation outlet for as many as possible, with the emphasis being placed on local league play and not travel ball. Participation, fun and skill enhancement are the primary goals of this program.

Registration will be from Monday, Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 21 at the Cheraw Community Center. The cost is $25 for city residents and $50 for county residents.

There will be a players’ meeting on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Arrowhead Park and practice will begin the week of Sept. 1.
