CHERAW – William “Billy” Crawford, 68, died March 06, 2011.

Funeral services were held March 9, at Cheraw Family Worship Center, Cheraw. Burial with military honors followed in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church cemetery. The family held visitation March 8, at Kiser Funeral Home, Cheraw.

Born in Red Springs, N.C. he was a son of Helen Dolores Atkinson Crawford of Laurinburg, N.C. and the late Carrington Benjamin Crawford. He was a retired auto mechanic. He was a member of Cheraw Family Worship Center. Mr. Crawford was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed baseball, softball and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father listed above, brothers, J. Henry Crawford, CB Crawford, Jr. and a sister, Hazel Etherton.

Surviving are his wife, Teresa Locklear Crawford, sons William Ronald (Angela) Crawford, Jr., Billy Nash (Katie) Crawford, daughters, Venessa C. (David) Driggers, Tracy Lynn (Mike) Crawford all of Cheraw; his mother listed above, sisters, Mary Lee (James) Knight of Cheraw; Delorise Marie (Houston) Chavis of Laurel Hill, N.C.; Betty Ann Sheperd of Marietta, GA,; Teresa Lane (Denis) Turner of Laurinburg, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Tiffani A. Driggers, Carrington N. Driggers, Caleb D. Gregory, Brianna Driggers, Melody D. Crawford, Emily M. Crawford, Trent W. Crawford and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
