CHESTERFIELD – William “Bo” Gaskins, 63, died March 20, 2011.
Funeral services were held March 23, at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Chesterfield with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation was held March 22, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Gaskins was born June 10, 1947, in Chesterfield, son of Ruby Mae Walters Gaskins and the late Burch Gilbert Gaskins. He was a graduate of Chesterfield High School Class of 1966. Bo was a retired supervisor with Cone Mills and was a service technician with Communications Technology. Mr. Gaskins was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, serving in the Men’s Club, Choir and the New Hope Sunday School Class, and Cemetery Trustee Chairman. Bo enjoyed hunting, fishing, bicycling, cooking at the cabin and was an avid Chesterfield Ram supporter.
Mr. Gaskins is survived by wife of 42 years, Jackie Eddins Gaskins, of the home, son, Andy (Kim) Gaskins of Chesterfield; daughters, Amy Gaskins, Lisa Smith and fiance, Kris Hardwich, all of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, Brandon and Trent Smith, Gracyn and Will Gaskins and Bryton Gaskins; mother, Ruby Walters Gaskins of Chesterfield; brother, Jesse (Audrey) Gaskins of Cheraw; sister, Pam (Jerry) Huntley of Chesterfield.
