Mindy Alaina Parsons of Hemingway and Matthew Carlisle Kimrey of Florence, were married Nov. 20, 2010, at Greenwood Baptist Church in Florence. The Reverend Kendall Danford performed the 4:00 p.m. ceremony.
A reception followed at Summer Hill in Pamlico.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger A. Parsons of Hemingway, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Coker and Mrs. Blondell Williams and the late John O. Parsons of Hemingway, S.C. Mindy graduated from Francis Marion University in December with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. She is employed with Darlington High School in Darlington, S.C.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Kimrey of Wallace, is the grandson of Mrs. Louise Hughes and the late William Carlisle Hughes of Hemingway and the late Johnnie Franklin Kimrey and Beatrice Grant Kimrey of Wallace. Matthew is a graduate of Francis Marion University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. He is currently working on his Master of Business Administration at Francis Marion University and is employed with ArborOne in Florence.
Maid of Honor was Kassie Hughes, friend of the bride and cousin of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Sullivan, sister of the groom, Taylor Bennett and Heather Bennett, cousins of the bride, Sara Haselden, Tiffany Golden, Tia Hicks and Kelly Brown, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Haley Hastings and Hannah Parson, cousins of the bride.
Best man was Mr. Cecil Kimrey, father of the groom, Groomsmen were Tim Sullivan, brother-in-law of the groom, Adam Parsons, brother of the bride, Jeremy Smith, cousin of the groom, Andy Golden & Robert Smith, friends of the groom, Matthew Willis and Josh Parsons, cousins of the bride. Ring bearer was Houston Kimrey, cousin of the bride.

A miscellaneous shower was hosted by Holly Haire, Dena Kimrey, Saundra Kimrey, Shelby Kimrey, Wilma Smith and Jennifer Sullivan on Oct. 9, 2010, at Oakgrove Methodist Church, Wallace.
Hope Hatchell, Tammy Lowrimore, and Heather Bennett hosted a miscellaneous shower at Hope’s home, Jefferson on Oct. 10, 2010.
The Parsons Family and the New Vision Freewill Baptist Church ladies hosted a miscellaneous shower on Oct. 23, 2010, in Hemingway.
Kassie and Kathy Hughes hosted a lingerie shower on Nov. 12, 2010, at the home of Johnny Mattox, Florence.
A Christmas shower was hosted by Jennifer Sullivan and Shelby Kimrey at Jennifer’s home, Jefferson, Nov. 13, 2010.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Florence.
