CHESTERFIELD - Peggy Smith Adams, 72, died Aug. 3, 2011
Funeral services will be held Aug. 5 at 11 a.m. at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield. Burial followed in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, Cheraw. Visitation will be held Aug. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adams was born April 2, 1939 in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Grady Lee and Mary Kirven Smith. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing and a homemaker. Mrs. Adams was a member of First Southern Methodist Church. Peggy enjoyed fishing at the beach, crocheting, and growing vegetables. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband J. T. Adams; her brothers, Dwight and Perry Smith; and by a sister, Ella Shaw.
Peggy is survived by son, John (Darlene) Adams of Chesterfield; daughters, Teresa Adams of Chesterfield; 5 grandchildren, Shawn Morton, Betina Gaskins, Megan, Dara, and Joshua Adams; 2 great grandchildren, Gavin Gaskins and Elijah Morton; sister, Hazel S. Harlow of Nettleton, MS
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home served the Adams family.
