CHESTERFIELD - Grady Ray Adams, 69, died Thursday, April 14, 2005.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in Morven Cemetery.

Born in Anson County, N.C., Mr. Adams was a son of the late Walter and Annie Ratcliff Adams. He was a retired millwright with Crown Cork & Seal Company. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Jean Collins Adams of the home; two sons, Jimmy (Lynn) Adams of Jefferson, and Johnny Adams of Chesterfield; a grandson, Ridge Adams; a brother, the Rev. Bill Adams of Maiden, N.C.; two sisters, Letha Mae Cook of Cheraw, and Katherine Bowers of Wadesboro, N.C.; a half-brother, Carson Adams; and three half-sisters, Kay Pratt, Faye Sellers and Jill Thomas.

Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
