CHESTERFIELD - Thomas Franklin “Frank” Davis, 78, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 after an extended illness.

A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13 from Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 293 Zoar Road, Chesterfield, S.C. 29709.

Born in Cheraw, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Ben and Myrtle White Davis. He was a graduate of Zoar High School and attended Wingate College and the University of South Carolina. Mr. Davis was a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a hotel management and culinary degree. He was a retired interior designer and antique dealer. Mr. Davis was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of the Chesterfield American Legion Post 74.

Surviving are two brothers, Lewis E. (Elizabeth) Davis of Newberry, and Judge Edwin “Brother” (Betty) Davis of Chesterfield; two sisters, Carolyn D. Goldsmith of Chesterfield, and Julia D. (W.B.) Mackall of Clearwater, Fla.; and a number of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary D. Pusser.

The arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
