CHESTERFIELD - William “Bill” Crawford, 81, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at his home.

A graveside funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, from Evans, Robeson, Spencer Cemetery.

Born in Sumter, Mr. Crawford was a son of the late James Gibson and Sallie Ford Evans Crawford. He was a retired employee with the South Carolina Highway Department, and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas “Rocky” Crawford and Jimmy Crawford, both of Washington state; a brother, Tommy Crawford of Timmonsville; and a special friend, Joyce Mills of Ruby.

Arrangements were entrusted to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
