The funeral was at 3 p.m. Jan. 21, at Middendorf Baptist Church. The Revs. Don Rhyne and Ed Griggs officiated. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hoffman was a son of the late Woodrow W. and Hattie Gainey Hoffman.
He was a member of Cash Baptist Church.
Surviving are his sister, Frances H. Steen of Hartsville; six grandchildren, Anthony Gulledge, Courney Gullege, James Gulledge, Dylan Melton, Henry Lee Gulledge and Rodney Boan; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Laverne Hoffman.
Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
