Funeral services were at 11 a.m. July 17, at Black Creek Baptist Church, Mt. Croghan. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
U.F. was born May 15, 1918, a son of the late Walter Crawford and the late Carrie Little. He attended the public schools of Chesterfield County. He was employed as a woodcutter and a farmer. He married Geneva Crawford in February 1938, who preceded death after 59 years of marriage.
Surviving are 13 children, Henry (Loretta) Crawford, Doreen Foxworth, Cornelius (Gene) Kemp, Dorothy (Thomas) Raley, Geraldine Thomas, Lenrea (Robert) Louallen, Betty (Oscar) Chambers, Dianne (Lee) Simon, Joanne (Bobby) Chambers; 46 grandchildren and over 100 great-grandchildren.
Grooms Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
