Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Nov. 14, in Eastside Free Will Baptist Church in Florence, with burial following in Piney Plains Church Cemetery in Hartsville.
Mrs. Roberts was a daughter of the late Wallace and Pauline Horne Griggs. She worked in the kitchen at Hardee's and enjoyed sewing and gardening in her free time. Shirley also enjoyed and loved her pet dogs. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Eastside Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Harry Earl Roberts of the home; a son, Charles Clipper (Christy) Gandy of Timmonsville; a granddaughter, Brittany Gandy; four brothers, Rev. Lemuel W. Griggs of Summerville, James M. Griggs of Cheraw, Tommy L. Griggs of Corsicana, TX, William J. Griggs of Cheraw; three sisters, Sara G. Roscoe of Cheraw, Francis G. Loflin of Marshville, NC.., Marie G. Shaw, of Cheraw and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benard Charles Gandy.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday night at Belk Funeral Home.
Belk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
