The Four Seasons Garden Club of Cheraw will be choosing the yard of the month in different areas of Cheraw. In the month of October we looked at the area bounded by Market Street, Front Street, Greene Street and Christian Street.

We are pleased to announce that 306 Powe Street owned by B. J. Moore was selected as the yard of the month for October. She has beautiful red begonias circled with lime colored sweet potato vines. Purple ageratums are interspersed throughout. Southern ferns hang from the porch. The design is simple but striking! Take a moment to drive by and enjoy.

The Four Seasons Garden Club has designated six areas that will be reviewed on a rotating basis to select the yard of the month:

October and April - The area bounded by Market Street, Front Street, Greene Street and Christian Street.

November and May - The area east of Front Street and Cash Street to edge of town north and south.

December and June - The area north of Greene Street, east of Christian Street, west of Front Street to edge of town.

January and July - The area southwest of Christian Street bounded by Market Street and Chesterfield Highway to edge of town.

February and August - The area south of Chesterfield Highway and west of Route 52 to edge of town.

March and September - The area east of Route 52, south of Market Street bounded by Cash Road to edge of town.

If you would like to nominate a yard of the month for a particular area according to the schedule please call 537-2843 and leave the address for your recommendation.
