June activities with the Cheraw Arts Commission

The Cheraw Arts Commission asks that you join them in June for the events listed below:

Clay Creations with artist Grace Jennings

June 5-7 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cheraw Community Center.

Grades 1 through 8 welcome. Create clay projects using handbuilding methods: pinching, coiling, slab building and surface design. Fee is $40, all supplies included. Spaces are still available.

Private Ceramic lessons including handbuilding or wheel throwing are $35/hour plus a materials fee.

Paint your Pottery

Thursday, June 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Kids and adults are invited to come. Registration fee is $12 each night and includes paints/firing/instruction. Pottery is not included. Five are needed to make a class, so bring a friend.

Duct-tivities - Art & Crafts with Duct Tape

June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cheraw Community Center.

Ages 8 and up are welcome. Instructor is Miracle Bowles. Learn to create flowers, wallets and more. Cost is $14 and includes supplies. Must be registered this week. Pre-registration is required - 3 dates in June. Call C.A.C. for more information.

Wacky Wednesday Art for Wee Ones

June 13, June 20 and June 27

Ages 3-6 are welcome.

Each class is $7 and includes Going Green Art Fun and more.

Adult Art Night

June 19

“It’s a Ringer!” Create metal rings with Metal Artist Beth Wicker.

Cost is $14 and pre-registration is required. Space is limited.
