The Carolina Heat 15U is creating a new 15U showcase team based in Lancaster, S.C., and is searching for three to four outfielders and two catchers with upper level skills.

Combo players with pitching experience are a big plus, said head coach Mike Lucas, head baseball coach at Andrew Jackson High School.

The Carolina Heat is an experienced team with a core of players that have been together for seven years. The team will play a 4-5 fall tournament schedule ending in late October.

Lucas said the team is looking for committed players with positive attitudes who want to compete at the highest level against the best possible competition.

Players cannot turn 16 before May 1, 2013.

Evaluation/tryouts will be held in the next few weeks. The team will practice two days a week.

For more information, contact Lucas at 803-283-7820 or e-mail at lucasgroup@comporium.net.
