William Ray Henry, 73, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012.
A funeral service was held Oct. 9, at True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church, Wallace. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends on Oct. 9, at True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church, Wallace.
Born in Jefferson, he was a son of the late Charles Decar and Dorothy Elizabeth Horne Henry. He was a member of the True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church. Henry enjoyed playing his banjo at church and the nursing home. He also liked fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Mae Henry of Wallace, sons, Bryan Henry, Mike Henry both of Charlotte, N.C., step-daughters, Joyce Brigman, Gloria Polston and Shirley Smith all of Wallace, brothers, Jimmy Henry, Jerry Henry both of Wadesboro, N.C., five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
