The Cheraw High Braves visited the Chesterfield Golden Rams this past Friday night. Fans of both teams wait all season for this special game, our very own local rivalry game. Either you are a Cheraw Brave or a Chesterfield Golden Ram, there is no in between for citizens in this area.
Cheraw started out strong with the first score in the first quarter of the game. In the second quarter the Braves scored again but the Rams responded by not only scoring once but twice to bring the game to a tie at 14 points each. After halftime the teams appeared rested and pumped for the second half. The third quarter is played and neither team scores, leaving the tie intact. The fourth and final quarter of the game produces a clear winner when the Braves make two touchdowns.
Although the Braves won with a score of 28 to 14, the statistics of the game show that the Rams put up a fight for the title of rival winner.
