The Cheraw Arts Commission will present a Twilight Concert featuring the Hartsville Chamber Ensemble on Friday, Dec. 7. The performance will be at Old St. David’s Church beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Musical selections will include Savior of the Nations, Come, Ubis Caritas, Lord, Before This Fleeting Season, Nowell Sing We, I Wonder As I Wander and more. Several selections will be accompanied by The Celebration Handbell Ringers from First Presbyterian Church of Hartsville and flutist, Penny Rogers.
Organized in 2006, the Hartsville Chamber Ensemble performs a variety of music that includes renaissance, baroque, classical and contemporary selections, and settings of folk tunes and spirituals. Their repertoire also includes newly composed pieces by prominent contemporary composers. The group is under the direction of Anna White Hill.
Admission to the concert is $8 for Cheraw Arts Commission members and students with non-member tickets at $10. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe St.
