A 60-year-old Chesterfield man, C.L. Redfearn, was killed early Wednesday morning on Teal’s Mill Road, about a mile and a half south of Chesterfield.
According South Carolina Highway Patrol Officer Billy Elder, “The victim was a pedestrian and was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Although the incident is still under investigation, Elder said there were two vehicles involved. One, a 1998 Chevrolet pick-up truck, that was “unattended.” The other vehicle was driven by Marie Lindsey, 43, also of Chesterfield.
“Lindsey was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident and was transported to Chesterfield General Hospital for her injuries,” Elder said. “All information will be updated as soon as it is available.”
