COLUMBIA — Shoppers looking for unique South Carolina food products can now easily find them online in a one-stop shop, www.southcarolinamarketspace.com. Here, shoppers can browse a variety of South Carolina specialty food companies — from tea, biscuits, pasta, rice, sauces, chocolates, okra, cookies, chowders, spices and more.

Shoppers can now enjoy South Carolina delicacies with just a click of the mouse or purchase that perfect birthday, Valentine’s Day or anytime gift.

South Carolina is the first state to offer this type of one-stop specialty foods shop. Created by ECI/Find New Markets in cooperation with the South Carolina Specialty Foods Association, South Carolina Marketspace enables customers from across the country and Canada to order South Carolina-made food products all in one place, reducing individual shipping costs and increasing convenience.

ECI/Find New Markets is partnering with the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department to enable eligible individuals with disabilities to prepare for, achieve and maintain competitive employment by providing shipping and fulfillment services for items purchased through www.southcarolinamarketspace.com.

South Carolina Marketspace connects South Carolina food artisans to North American audiences with a user-friendly ordering format — www.southcarolinamarketspace.com — that unifies and simplifies the relationship among unique South Carolina companies, consumers and the community.

ECI/Find New Markets is a Columbia, SC-based non-profit that has been helping small businesses grow domestically and globally for the past 15 years. It has been working closely with the South Carolina Specialty Foods Association for the past six years to help promote South Carolina entrepreneurs who have developed indigenous and unique food-related products.

The South Carolina Specialty Foods Association has more than 150 members who have come together to promote and support food-related products developed and produced in South Carolina.
