Continuing education courses offered at NETC this spring

Hundreds of courses designed for people looking for personal enrichment, new job skills or advancement in the workplace will be offered this spring by Northeastern Technical College’s division of continuing education.

Courses for new job skills or advancement in the workplace including certified nursing assistant, homemaker-home health aide, introduction to PowerPoint, pipe welding, power plant fundamentals and electrician begin this month.

Personal enrichment courses including defensive driving, cake decorating, gunsmithing, keyboarding, and conversational Spanish will be offered on campus at one of NETC’s community campuses in Pageland, Cheraw, Bennettsville or Dillon.

A wide selection of online courses for personal enrichment, new job skills or advancement in the workplace is also available.

To obtain a complete list of offerings contact the division of continuing education at 921-6900 or 1-800-921-7399 and choose option 4. Course offerings are also available by visiting www.netc.edu, clicking on the “Continuing Ed” link and then following the links to “OnLine Courses” or “OnCampus Courses” listings.

All continuing education courses are offered as non-college credit courses, typically meet once a week and last for a shorter period of time than regular semester long classes.

Registration for classes must be complete 10 business days prior to the first day of class.

To register, you may visit the division of continuing education on NETC’s main campus in Cheraw from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. You may also register for classes offered on the community campuses in Bennettsville, Pageland or Dillon by visiting those campuses during their normal hours of operation.

Registration forms are also available on the continuing education webpage located at www.netc.edu. Some classes are limited in size and enrollment is on a first pay, first serve basis. Tuition payment is due at the time of registration.
