HARTSVILLE, S.C. — Coker College had 120 student-athletes named to the 2012 Conference Carolinas Fall Presidential Honor Roll. It was an increase for the Cobras from the spring honor roll, where they had 86 student-athletes make the cut. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher. Conference Carolinas presents its honor roll twice a year, covering the fall and spring academic semesters.

The students recognized included:

• Taylor Demby, a freshman undeclared major from Chesterfield.

• Haley Gibson, a senior psychology major from Chesterfield.

Established in 1908, Coker College readies undergraduates for personal and professional success through a distinctive four-year program that emphasizes a practical application of the liberal arts as well as hands-on and discussion-based learning within and beyond the classroom. Coker is ranked among the “Best Colleges” in the South by U.S. News & World Report as well as The Princeton Review.

Located in Hartsville, Coker is within two hours of the cultural, financial and recreational resources of Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach.
