Chesterfield General Hospital will offer free childbirth education classes specifically designed to help women learn about what to expect while pregnant. Topics include what partners can do to help in the birthing process, what labor is like and if special breathing really helps. Women will learn how to tell if they are in labor and to practice pain relief that really works. Learn what to expect after your baby is born, information on breast and bottle feeding and more. A weekly series will be held Mondays in March from 6 to 8 p.m. Classes meet in the Women’s Health Center at Chesterfield General Hospital.

UDC seeks new members
The South Carolina Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy, is working on chartering a new UDC chapter in the Cheraw/Bennettsville area. We have three women who are interested in starting this chapter. We need seven prospects to apply for a charter.
