Arthur W. “A.W.” Wright, 87, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at his home.

Funeral services were held Oct. 15, at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Kershaw. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 14, at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield.

Wright was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Kershaw, a son of the late Arthur and Dill Wright. He was a retired employee of Springs Cotton Mill, with 29 years of service. A. W. was a member of Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, A. W. was also preceded in death by a son, David Wright, a brother, Sonny Wright, and by his sisters, Ann Wright and Mamie Barrett.

Survivors include a wife, Lottie Reynolds Wright of the home, one son, Arthur Jr. (Tammy) Wright of Jefferson, granddaughter, Renee Wright (Christopher) Freeman of Jefferson, great granddaughter, Emma Jade Freeman of Jefferson.
