Barbara McBride Presson, 78, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at First Southern Methodist Church, Cheraw. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery located in Cheraw.
Presson was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Chesterfield, a daughter of the late Wayne and Frances Smith McBride. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and a retired Program Assistant with the Chesterfield County ASCS office with 30 years of service. Presson was a charter member of First Southern Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her brothers, Billy and Harold McBride, and a sister, Frances M. Eddins.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronda Paul “R.P.” Presson of the home, nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law.
