The five famous Limburg entrepreneurs, Wouter Otten, Tom Martens, Martin Pennens, Jan Polaris and Herren from Levin, have founded the new investment fund C For Growth. The ambition is to raise between 30 and 50 million and use that as capital for promising companies.
“Growth companies often face similar, recurring challenges,” say the owners of the C For Growth initiative. “There is always untapped potential. By actively engaging in long-term entrepreneurship, we want to help accelerate growth through our new investment fund.”
C For Growth is described as a Limburg-based investment fund that aims to raise between $30 million and $50 million. The five entrepreneurs Wouter Otten, Tom Martens, Martin Pennens, Jan Polaris and Herren from Levin – in addition to their financial contribution – also want to put their management experience at the service of the engagements in which they will participate. It is the former tandem of Ugentec, Tom Martens and Wouter Uten, who will actively lead the charge.
“We are fellow entrepreneurs in the parties we invest in,” says Tom Martens. “We will not only invest ourselves, which gives us a leg up on the game, but we also want to actively support entrepreneurs based on our experience. We believe in that strongly.”
C For Growth also wants to be a potential partner for entrepreneurs considering leaving their companies in the long term, for managers considering a management buyout, and for family businesses preparing to enter the next generation.
The first entries will be announced in the coming months. The aim is to raise between 30 and 50 million euros over the next five years and invest in 10 to 15 local companies with growth ambitions.
