Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lose 700,000 followers on Instagram in one year | showbiz

PropertyBritain’s Prince Harry, 36, and his wife Meghan Markle, 40, made the news last year, but that didn’t help their popularity. This is according to a study by Hypeauditor.

Hypeauditor, which analyzes the data, has concluded that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Instagram account lost as many as 700,000 followers in the past year. In addition, only 66 percent of their followers are said to be “real people”. For the rest, the account will be followed by several bots. Other members of the British royal family seem to be getting more and more famous on social media. Harry’s brother William, who has an Instagram account with his wife Kate Middleton, has received a million new fans. The royal family account also managed to score an additional 1.3 million followers. It has not been revealed how many bots follow these two accounts.

Angela Levine, the royal watchdog, says it’s no surprise that Harry and Meghan’s popularity has been hurt. “They tell people to be empathetic, but at the same time they show absolutely no sympathy for their families. They are complaining about climate change and telling us that we have to start living more green, but at the same time they get on private planes all the time. No longer People approve of their behavior and stop following them.”

The decline in the couple’s popularity was reflected not only in the number of followers of their Instagram account, but also in a YouGov survey. It shows that 43% of the 1,700 Britons surveyed have a positive opinion of Prince Harry, while 49% view him negatively. Cool, because for years Harry has been the most popular member of the British royal family, after his grandmother Queen Elizabeth. Megan is doing worse. Only 29 per cent of Britons have a positive opinion of it, and over 61 per cent see it negatively.
