Last month, Doug and Deedra Simmons got married at the place of their dreams in Jamaica. They booked a spa there for themselves and over a hundred friends. However, eight guests did not show up without checking out. We have pre-ordered four times. Each time they assured us they would be there. But when the payment came, they sent their cat away. Of course we would understand if something happened. “But now they haven’t said anything,” the couple told US media.
Even when Doug and Deedra got back from their honeymoon, they didn’t get a message. No apology, but no congratulations either.
The post makes clear the fact that it wasn’t about the money for them. They felt very frustrated in their day.
In a short time, Doug received hundreds of reactions, and the Facebook post went viral on social media and conducted several interviews with the couple. The media in America. Of course, he and Deidra never meant to send an actual invoice, it was all about principle. “It is not okay for family and friends to stay away like this. We understand things can happen, but just report them.”
The couple hopes that by now the guests in question have learned their lesson and that they will cancel in time at the upcoming wedding. This plan seems to have worked: one of the reactions was the apology of the guests who had let her down.
