Strong Yannick Stemmel gives Dekoninc another victory in Slovakia | Cycling

Defending champion Jannick Stiemel won the second straight stage at the Tour of Slovakia (2.1). The German Deceuninck-Quick Step all-around player was faster than Peter Sagan and captain/teammate Alvaro Hodeg in a fast, chaotic race.

There were three ascents in the second stage. The stage looked very difficult for runners on paper, but a lot of fast players still managed to survive.

Peter Sagan tried to jump too far into the lock, and was given a guard dog with Jannik Steimle.

A group of about 50 passengers eventually returned. Steimle started running from a very long distance and held up surprisingly. In the last corner a few riders hit the ground, but the German really went.

Sagan finished second and looks set for the World Cup. Hodeg crossed the finish line in third place and remained in the lead. He is four seconds ahead of his teammate.
