Donald Trump is more popular than Joe Biden in new poll | Abroad

According to the new Harvard-Harris Poll – conducted by an American news site hill – 48 percent of voters rated Trump positive, compared to just 46 percent in the case of Biden. The news site warns that this falls within the poll’s margin of error, but is nonetheless part of a notable development that has been going on for some time. Biden was more popular than Trump at the start of his presidency, but that waned over the months.

The numbers are similar in the opposite direction, too: 49 percent have a negative view of Biden, while only 47 percent have a negative view of Trump. 51 percent think Trump is a better president than Biden, while 49 percent think Biden is the better choice. 48 percent think Biden is doing a good job, while 50 percent don’t. And in an earlier survey in June, it was still 52 percent and even 62 percent earlier.

Biden is said to have largely blamed himself for the low numbers. For example, the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan has been particularly chaotic, the number of novel coronavirus cases in the United States has risen again in recent months, and the president has to deal with a new immigration crisis on the border with Mexico, which is growing. His ambitious plans, but not by Congress.

The performance of other members of the Biden administration is also less good. 55% think Mike Pence was a better vice president than Kamala Harris. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is doing even worse. 63 percent think his predecessor, Mike Pompeo, was better than him.

These numbers are good news for those hoping that Donald Trump will run for president again in 2024. Earlier this month, he hinted at this during a visit to the New York Police Department. “We can’t talk about that yet. I think you’d be very happy,” Trump said.
