CNN will not remove presenter Andy Cohen for some offensive statements during their traditional New Year’s Eve broadcast. Cohen appears to have been intoxicated during the broadcast, and fired on several celebrities.

Andy Cohen came into the limelight last weekend when the presenter released some strike statements during CNN’s traditional New Year’s broadcast from Times Square in New York. At the start of the broadcast Cohen drank several shots of tequila – with co-host Anderson Cooper. It did not turn out to be a brilliant idea because Cohen walked away completely after that: he insulted various celebrities throughout the broadcast, such as Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg and former New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

Cohen admitted a day later that “his tea was a touch above the water”, but did not retract his statements. He said he only regretted insulting Ryan Seacrest, the host of the New Year’s show that competed on ABC. “Smoke is coming out of the group Losers From Ryan Secrets, behind us here, ”Cohen said during the broadcast. “I think Ryan is a good guy, and I’m sorry for that. I’m been stupidly drunk.

Many CNN viewers laughed well at Cohen’s statements, and despite the fact that it was leaked on social media during the broadcast, there were calls for Cohen to be fired. It will not come, on the contrary: CNN has already announced that Cohen may also present their New Year’s Eve broadcast next year.
