Set in modern America, “Bel-Air” still rests on its original premise: Will’s complex journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the walled mansions of Bel-Air. The trailer shows Will getting a second chance after getting into trouble at home, but that obviously doesn’t mean his life is going to be any easier from now on. The boy must deal with struggles, emotions, and prejudices from a world completely different from the one he has ever known.
It’s the first time we’ve seen pictures for the series. The focus of the promotion is newcomer Jabari Banks, who takes on the lead role of Will. We also see Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones. “Bel-Air” will be shown on February 13, the so-called Super Bowl Sunday in the United States. The first three episodes will then be released immediately. After that, one episode per week will be released on the Peacock streaming service. It is not yet known when and if the reboot of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” can also be seen with us.
