MG has announced prices for the 5 Electric, the first electric station wagon sold in the Netherlands. The car comes in two versions, with a battery pack with which you can drive 320 or 400 kilometers, and costs 33,985 euros and 36,985 euros respectively.
MG5 electric comes in the form of Standard Range or Long Range, where consumers can choose from the Comfort and Luxury version as well as the two battery packs. The Deluxe package costs 1,500 euros more than the Comfort version. The cars get a 50.3 or 61.1 kWh battery. The model with a 61.1 kWh battery will be available from March; The 50.3 kWh car will come later.
All five electrical appliances come standard with an onboard three-phase charger that can charge a maximum of 11 kW. Cars can also be charged at speeds up to 87 kW. Charging from 5 to 80 percent takes about 40 minutes. The charging ports can not only be used to charge the car, but also can be used by V2L to power external devices. For this purpose, MG supplies a charging cable with a Type 2 socket and a power strip on the other side. With a capacity of 2 liters, it can deliver a maximum of 2200 watts. 5 Electrics can also charge other cars.
The car is always front-wheel drive by an electric motor that delivers 280 Nm of torque and 115 kW at long range. In the standard range, the electric motor provides additional power of 15 kW. Despite the difference in power and battery, the MG gives both cars acceleration to 100 km / h in 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 185 km / h.
Available in white, black, red or silver, the vehicle comes standard with air conditioning, LED headlights and taillights, heated front seats, parking assistance, 7-inch gauges, keyless entry, and 16-inch wheels. The 5 Electric is MG’s third electric vehicle in the Netherlands, after the ZS EV and Marvel R Electric. MG sold 21,946 cars in Europe last year, excluding the UK. A year ago, the company sold 7,200 cars in Europe.
