PropertyWe had to wait a while, but after about two years, Meghan Markle’s podcast, 40, finally got a start date. These reports, among other things, are “miscellaneous”.
Looking back, we learn that Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry (37) have already struck a deal with Spotify in 2020. In exchange for €22 million, they will be launching several podcasts. So far, only one podcast has appeared, a 30-minute Christmas special on which they can only be heard intermittently. The listening characters were also very poor.
But now another podcast is on the way. The series, which Meghan produced, should finally release this summer. Archewell Audio let us know. The fact that a new podcast series is coming is actually a result of the conversations Harry and Meghan had with Spotify. The streaming service came under fire in January for striking a lucrative deal with controversial Joe Rogan, who dared to spread somewhat incorrect information about the coronavirus in his podcast. Archewell Audio then released a statement. In it, Meghan and Harry noted that they had reported their “concerns” to Spotify to Spotify.
It now appears that the folds are smooth again. Archewell Audio said it “felt encouraged by the ongoing conversations we had with Spotify”. Alongside the streaming service, they are said to have worked on “policies, practices, and strategies designed to increase creators’ awareness, reduce the spread of misinformation, and support transparency.”
The exact topic of Meghan Markle’s podcast has yet to be announced.
