Man (50) tries to avoid isolation by skiing across the border | Abroad

The man wanted to ‘avoid’ the rules of isolation tied to the skies. However, the weather was bad and he had to be rescued, Euronews reported. The person was then transferred to the Norwegian Police. He could now be prosecuted for crossing the border illegally.

Under Norwegian corona rules, anyone entering the country must submit a negative test and be isolated for ten days in a hotel. “He wanted to go to Norway to get some documents and then to Sweden where he works,” said a member of the rescue team from the city of Tidal. “But to get around the isolation, he decided to cross the border through the mountains. A total of about 40 kilometers traveled.”

When the man was halfway through his journey and dead, a reindeer farmer came to rescue him. He handed it over to a few fishermen in Lake Esantsjாn on the Norwegian-Swedish border. They called emergency services. The man was later brought to the police station. He is said to have behaved “very angry” and is now alone in a nearby hotel.
