Didier Lamkel Ze is undoubtedly one of the most colorful figures to come through the Jupiler Pro League in recent years. The crazy Cameroonian made a name for himself on and off the pitch in Antwerp and KV Kortrijk, but closed the Belgian door behind him in the summer.
At the beginning of August, Lamkel left KV Kortrijk permanently, as he was no longer in demand. The Guys had snapped up the striker from Antwerp a year earlier for just €500,000, but a few months later he had already made himself impossible. In the second half of the season he was already rented to Wydad Casablanca.
Lamkel Zé announces his return to Belgium
This time Hatayspor offered him shelter. Lamkel Zee signed a contract there until 2025 and is doing well so far. In thirteen matches in the Turkish Super League, he scored three goals and three assists. Who knows, maybe it will lead to a great comeback.
In a short video clip posted by his mediator, Lamkel Ze announced that he would soon return to Belgium. The only question is which club will give him another chance after all the antics he pulled during his spells in Antwerp and Kortrijk.
Long list of antics
After all, his undeniable athletic qualities completely overshadowed his demeanor. For example, at the beginning of 2021 he appeared at Bussil in an Anderlecht shirt, due to dissatisfaction that the Great Old did not want to let him leave for Panathinaikos.
Additionally, he once gave Jelly Van Dam a black eye during training and also received several stupid red cards. Anyone purchasing Lamkel Zé has been warned. Or was he finally going to change his life at the age of twenty-seven?
🎙️I had more time on a video published by my agent:
