Ultratop publishes annual lists: Pommelien, Camille and Metejoor are the most popular artists | music

Pommelien Thijs clearly made their name in the world of Flemish music last year. The “Erop of Ironder” singer is best known for her role in the youth series “#LikeMe,” but has since built a successful solo music career. She was seen in the series 'Knokke off', won The Voice Kids with her team member Sikudhani, and can currently be seen in 'The Expedition: Groenland'. But what mainly put Pomilian on the map in 2023 is her solo music. She released her first album, “By Chance,” which immediately propelled her to number one. So Pomelian can officially call himself the most popular artist in Flanders.

Pomilian is followed by her colleague Camille on “#LikeMe”. She can be found at least twice on the list of most popular albums of 2023. Her album “SOS” finished in second place, while “Magie” took fourth place. However, Camille is not the only artist to appear twice on the list: Metejoor also took two spots. His album “Joris” came in third place, while his other album “Metejoor” came in eighth place.

The rest of the list is completed by international sensations Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. However, it is a Flemish icon who closes the top ten: Will Tura with his latest album When I Look Back.

In addition to the list of most popular albums, Ultratop also announced the most popular singles of the past year. It's no surprise that Miley Cyrus took the top spot with her song “Flowers.” Lauren's song “Tattoo” won a silver medal, while David Koechner's TikTok song “Daylight” took third place. In terms of Flemish content, Metegor and Hanna Mae led the way with their duet “What Do You Want From Me?” It won the highest-ranking Flemish song.
