ASUS will not be making a new NUC Extreme. The company acquired Intel's NUC division last year, but assured Fudzilla that it won't be copying the popular 7.5-liter mini PC.
Asus He says to Vodzilla It has no plans for a successor or update to the NUC Extreme. It's a fairly large NUC that Intel launched last year and which Tweakers subsequently published a review of. The NUC 13 Extreme, unlike most mini PCs in that series, is very large. The device has a volume of 7.5 liters and has an integrated Core i9 13900K processor.
After Intel sold its NUC division last year, ASUS acquired that series. The first models were released during CES. Now ASUS says it has no plans to acquire the large, dedicated NUC Extreme. According to the company, such a device would compete closely with the ROG Strix G16CHR, another 7.5-liter mini PC that the company also showed off at CES.
In addition, to create a new NUC Extreme, ASUS will have to create a new one computer card Based on the Raptor Lake series and specifically for a 14900KB desktop CPU. The performance gains are so small that the company sees no added value in them.
