Not uncharted territory
The Queen of the Big Apple is no stranger. Queen Máxima is a frequent visitor to New York in her role as United Nations Special Advocate. Máxima also lived in the city for a while before becoming engaged to then-Crown Prince Willem-Alexander. You can read more about Maxima's life before becoming a princess here.
