Maple – A group of famous archaeologists made a special discovery next to a church in Maple. After several hours of digging, they found bones and all kinds of other remains around the church that most likely belonged to humans.

“I still can't quite understand it,” says lead archaeologist Joris Roullart, 48. “At first we thought we were dealing with a giant dinosaur that must have existed under this plain millions of years ago. However, this hypothesis was rejected when we discovered that the bones could not be more than a hundred years old. It is very strange. It has never happened before.” Before in my career I had found such a large number of human bones during an excavation.

Follow-up research and reconstructions should reveal who all these people were, exactly when they lived, what they looked like, and whether there was a connection between them. The stones found bearing inscriptions will also be carefully studied. In the near future, archaeologists will also conduct excavations in other churches to determine whether human bones can be found there as well.
